About Kem Himelright

Kem Himelright I am a self taught artist and my artwork is what I refer to as "Mixed Media Relief". I raise the foreground subject approximately .25 inches above the background, thus giving the original piece a shaded three dimensional appearance. This technique is only available in the original and not available on prints. I work primarily with pen & ink, watercolor, and airbrush.

I custom make my own frames for some of the originals out of American Hardwoods and then custom paint, stain and spray a satin clear coat over all the frame materials. I also do the mat work on all of my originals. Some originals are matted only and not framed, I can make the frames for these as well at the buyer's request.

If my work is pleasing to your eye and stirs emotion in you as well, then I feel I have accomplished my goal as an artist. I contribute my talents to my creator the Great Spirit.
